BREATHE THE CHARACTER OF THE DESIGN
Defining modern space is the challenge that every designer faces. To create harmony and give character to a living environment that lacks it, you need to have “the eye”, as they say. So how can we combine the so-called eye with the right products?
Chromatic unification
Classic or modern style , color is fundamental in any space, just as it is essential to give solemnity to a furnishing element. In this apartment, you can breathe character even with just a few pieces. Brass details run through the living spaces, creating an original reminder of the industrial yet chic mood that pervades the rooms and the bronze-coloured roofs visible from every room through the large windows.
The walls covered with black stone panels contrast with the bronze reflections of the external roofs, while the almost white parquet evokes earthly atmospheres, giving concreteness to the dynamic design.
But it is the blue that deserves an official presentation. Auto-Reverse by Giuseppe Viganò steals the show. He stands with courage and pride in this luxury apartment in Vilnius, while the surrounding streets bustle with movement. Combined with the modern and sometimes implacable hardness of stone and metal, the crumpled velvet sofa gives softness to the space, making it welcoming and comfortable . The contrast with the color on the reverse is clear, a cream shade that allows the floor and walls to blend into the structure, giving even more prominence to the blue in this luxurious context.
Leitmotif
Modern design is subject to unwritten rules, rules that make a space unique and grandiose and at the same time declined in fluid interpretations from which personal touches arise.
The floor-to-ceiling windows flood the rooms of this Vilnius apartment with light, including the bedroom, where we find the underlying theme of the project: the bronze reflections coming from the outside, the brass of the ceiling lamps and the details in the panels , the black on the walls and the almost white wood of the parquet. The theme seen in the living space downstairs continues, also in this case highlighted by the choice of furnishings.
Auto-Reverse Dream captures the essence of this theme perfectly: the minimal structure, the hand-crafted materials, the double-sided cushions and the infinite opportunities to create a unique piece by choosing between stitching, zips, different colors and materials express themselves at its best thanks to the placement of the bed right in the center of the room. The contrast seen on the lower floor between the blue and, in this case, the purple makes the already well-defined theme organic and enriches.
Considering the apartment in all its aspects, what distinguishes it from other modern interpretations? Colors? Space? The individual touches of elegance of brass, black and even white? It is the lightness of the space that defines it . It is having chosen the right objects and materials, capable of unifying all the elements in the best possible way. A task that Auto-Reverse performs admirably.
