Nendo is a design studio founded in 2002 in Tokyo, with architect Oki Sato (b. Canada, 1977, Master in Architecture at the Waseda University) as its principal. The firm realizes its goal of bringing small surprises to people through a multidisciplinary practice whose media include architecture, interiors, furniture, industrial products and graphic design. Nendo opened their Milan office in 2005.
Born from the Japanese word ‘clay’, Nendo is synonymous with designer Oki Sato. Born 1977 in Toronto, Canada, his designs and his studio have become an expression of minimalist concepts that arouse Proustian moments thanks to detailed elements making his work a design of iconicity.
