Returning decades after its first, futuristic release is the SPRING armchair, a masterpiece of design repurposed today in a sophisticated restyling that enhances its timeless essence. SPRING is not simply a seat, but a conceptual experience of extreme lightness and comfort. Its most distinctive feature remains its total cantilever seat: the seating basket, conceived as a soft and welcoming core, appears magically suspended in the void. This illusion is made possible by an ingenious square framework to which the upholstered frame with a cylindrical section is attached. This enveloping frame, almost a tubular sculpture, performs the functions of armrest and backrest support with formal continuity, creating a protective perimeter around the user. With the new restyling, materials have been elevated to offer superior technical performance and even more refined tactility, while the effect of pure “suspension” has been accentuated, making it the visual centerpiece of the seat.
